Women empowerment is a broader definition since BWDO is a women-led organization that boosts women’s status through literacy, education, training, and awareness. Women empowerment refers to women’s ability to make strategic life choices that were previously denied them. We bring together women groups to play a major role in working for peace and reconciliation at local and national levels.

BWDO empowered women in many programs where we offered them start-up grants to do their own business in that case women become independent and will have the power in decision makings of their own business and that of the society it represents.
