IDPs Monitoring and Advocacy
IDPs Monitoring and Advocacy
Internal Displacement, internally displaced persons (also known as “IDPs”) are “persons or groups of persons who have been forced or obliged to flee or to leave their homes or places of habitual residence, in particular as a result of or in order to avoid the effects of armed conflict, generalized violence, violations of human rights, or natural or human-made disasters. IDPs monitoring -define as a system that monitors a network and scans it for possible threats to alert the administrator and prevent potential attacks.
BWDO conducts General or community-level monitoring, which assesses changes in the overall protection situation in a community, a village, or a region. While it might gather information about specific incidents and affected individuals, general monitoring focuses on understanding trends and patterns in order to inform and improve programming and project implementation. It can be undertaken by most field staff as long as basic protection considerations are taken into account.
