Human rights /child rights protection
Human rights are the basic rights and freedoms that belong to every person in the world, from birth until death. Children continue to bear the heavy burden of ongoing insecurity, conflict, and lack of key reforms in the country. All Somali parties to the conflict committed serious abuses against children, including killings, maiming, recruitment and use of child soldiers, and attacks on schools.
Bay Women Development Organization (BWDO) addresses the human rights violation against children by partnering with all stakeholders to discuss all child maltreatment such as physical or emotional abuse, child labor, and other practices that violate their most basic rights. Violence against children, at home, in schools, or in the broader society, affects educational outcomes.
